1. Top and Bottom Lid Box
As the name suggests, a top and bottom lid box consists of a top lid and a bottom lid, which can be separated. Its characteristics are:
1) The bottom lid often has a central ring (a frame around the edges), which is handmade and time-consuming;
2) Generally, the top and bottom lids are the same height. This type of box is very common and considered high-end. Examples include mooncake boxes and moxibustion sets.
2. Heaven and Earth Lid Box
Similar to the top and bottom lid box, the heaven and earth lid box has the following characteristics: 1) The shape is generally "top-and-bottom," with the top lid completely covering the bottom lid. Common applications include mobile phone boxes and pastry boxes; 2) Generally, there is no central frame. A drawback is that it is not easy to open, so there may be some deformation, with the top lid not fully closed, leaving a 2-3mm gap.
3. Book-Shaped Box
A book-shaped box consists of a leather-covered panel and an inner pocket. The opening has a magnet, usually on the side. The box design is relatively simple and has a wide range of applications. For example, a cosmetic box.
4. Drawer Boxes
Drawer boxes, like drawers, can be pulled out and consist of an outer shell and an inner pocket, usually equipped with a ribbon or pull ring. Matchboxes and soap dishes are typical examples. Drawer boxes are complex to manufacture, and under the same conditions, they require the longest production time.
5. Other Box Types: The four types mentioned above are common box types, and variations are also possible. Besides these, there are also double-opening boxes, boxes with top and bottom lids connected at the back and with ribbon side connections, boxes with top and bottom lids reinforced with foam, etc.
